MARCH, 2005 NEWSLETTER

Our next meeting will be March 15, 2005 at 7 PM at the Talbot 911 Center in Easton.

Our guest speaker will be Marty, W3YOZ.  He will be speaking on Antenna Topics 2, and there will be a review of his Antenna Topics 1 discussion form last month at the end.  This will be a very informative antenna talk..

Bob, W9GE has been working on ideas for our bylaw changes. We will talk this over at the meeting and ask for  input form the members.  Also Owen, K3CB has brought up the idea of having a lifetime membership for our EARS club.  He has suggested that it may be 10 times the yearly dues.  This is something we can discuss at the meeting.

John, K3OLE, and Paul, W3PAW are going to get things started on our EARS HAMFEST which will be held at the Talbot AG center on April, 23, 2005.  We would like to ask for several volunteers to help with the HAMFEST this year.

Jim, W3JAL has made up very nice membership cards and will have them at the meeting for you to pick up, instead of mailing them.

Allan, N5LKJ/3 is going to give us some information on “list servers” as a way to eliminate spam from mailing lists.  This may be a new way for us to send the newsletter.  Also Owen, K3CB has been working hard to get all club members to subscribe to the EARS Reflector.  This could be a “no spam” way of sending  out the newsletter as soon as we get the rest of the club members to subscribe to it.
