EARS MEETING
November 21, 2006
7:00 p.m.
 

The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by President Owen, K3CB In attendance were : Bill, K2WC; Owen, K3CB;John, K3OLE; Brett, KB3HGP; Allan N5LKJ; Dan Cada; KB3KXK; Tinsley, K3RUQ; Mike, N3OUE; Lee, W3TMD.

The Minutes of the October meeting were read by Bill, K2WC Approved.  Treasurer's Report was read by John, K3OLE. He reported a checking balance of $1540.95. This includes the income from the Tri-Athalon & the $250.00 deposit with Harbourtowne for the Christmas dinner.

Allan, N5LKJ, recommended that the club purchase UPS power backup for the repeater. Discussion centered as to whether this or a battery is a the right solution. He will research this issue & report at the next meeting.

It was reported that the Red Cross tower will soon come down.

Allan said the deadline for signups for the March Skywarn training is the January meeting. We need 20-25 signups. If we don't get that number from within the club, it'll be opened up to outsiders. N.B. The March meeting will be March 20 at 6:00 p.m. to allow for this training.

Owen, K3CB read a thankyou note from Jan & Cindy Alleger KB3OFK & KB3OFL expressing the "Elmering" they received from John, K3OLE & Lee, W3TMD. Applause

Brett, KB3HGP, reported on the current status of RACES (see previous reflector announcement for details.)
