Meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by President Owen, K3CB. Secretary Bill, K2WC, moved that the minutes of the previous meeting, distributed on the EARS Reflector be approved.

Secretary Bill, K2WC, read the Treasurer's Report of John, K3OLE, in his absence. It was approved as read. Current Assest total $4382.84, including the $3500 CD at Talbot Bank. Projected income for the year is $2383.75; Remaining expenses for the year estimated at $828.00.

Discussion followed about dues in light of this good positive balance.
Bob, W9GE, moved that dues be kept at $30.00 per calendar year.
Seconded by Mike, N3OUE Passed unanimously.

New Member prospect, Jim Richardson, N3EZY was presented by Tinsley, K3RUQ. He received an enthusiastic welcome. Appilcation duly received. Formal vote at the October meeting.

It was announced that a special meeting for September 25, for Tri-Athalon Training will be held prior to the September 30 event itself. Sign up list for volunteers circulated among those present.

Malcom Ringle, (SK) left some items to the club. Bob, W9GE will pick up items and give list to Gene, K3SVA, for inventory. Thank you note to be sent by the Secretary, K2WC. Copy to be distributed on the reflector.

Requirement for a newsletter to be removed from By-Laws

Brett, KB3HGP, gave an excellent update on where Talbot County RACES is at.

Alan, N5LKJ, will present the program for the October meeting on Rockets & Ham Radio.

Meeting adjourned & refreshments served by Bob, W9GE. Dan Cada, KB3KXK will provide same at the October meeting.

Excellent program about the various opportunities in the "World above 5o MHZ" given by Gene Zimmerman, W3ZZ, QST Editor of a monthly column by the same name. Very well received.
