A word from your new Secretary....This being my first newsletter, I'm still on a learning curve.
Tinsley is a tough act to follow indeed. If I do half the job he's done, I'll be satisfied. Meanwhile,
while I'm learning, to quote Forrest Gump: "'It' will happen." But not too often, I hope, Hi, Hi.

I. Agenda for June 20th meeting, which is in 2 parts, according to our

By-Laws:

A. Annual Meeting Items - Installation of officers & setting of dues amount 7:00 pm SHARP!! as a photographer from the Star Democrat will be present.

B. Regular Meeting Items

1. Secretary's Report - Tinsley, K3RUQ, for the final time

2. Treasurer's Report - John, K3OLE

3. Budget for new year

4. Report on Tri-athalon. The following participated:

N3OUE, KB3HSJ, K3OLE, K3RUQ, KB3MEA, N3NVW, WA3JAX, N3TFO, KB3HYX, W3YRS, KB3KXK, W3JAL, N5LKJ, W9GE. K3PKC & KB3HGP Net controls were Mike, N3OUE, Dan, KB3MEA & Brett, KB3HGP

5. Proposal to delay any further action on our By Laws until January 2007 - Owen

6. Field Day Horn Point June 23, 24 & 25

7. Vision for the next decade. What do we want our club to be & how do we get there? (Secretary's note: Proverbs says: "Without a vision, the people perish.")

8. Proposal that at a future meeting, an appropriate person (SCM?) be invited to give a talk about "marrying" RACES & ARES

OTHER NEWS

1. From our MD-DC Section Manager Public Information Officers & Local Government Liasons still needed. So far, in all of MD, only Calvert, Carroll,  Frederick, Garrett & Howard
have these posts filled.

2. Maryland State ARRL Convention, July 29, Hagerstown

3. Vermont is the latest state to make the federal PRB-1 regs the standard for towers etc. That means local zoning boards & the restrictive covenant folks cannot impose further restrictions other than what the Feds
have under PRB-1.  Vermont is state number 23 to do this. Why hasn't Maryland?
